Six Politburo resolutions create framework for modern cities
Urbanization is an inevitable trend in Vietnam’s development process. In recent years, large cities have become economic, cultural and scientific centers, contributing about 70% of GDP. However, the urbanization process still has many limitations: extensive development, unsynchronized infrastructure, polluted environment, overlapping planning, and inadequate management capacity. In this context, six important resolutions issued by the Politburo have created a strategic framework to shape Vietnam’s urban future.
